The American Craft Council is currently conducting a search for its next Executive Director. The Council is the single, national, nonprofit, educational and marketing organization responding to the trends and needs of the American craft field and encompassing a community of more than 28,000 members. Founded in 1943 by philanthropist and visionary Aileen Osborn Webb, the Council celebrates the remarkable achievements of the many gifted artists working by hand in the media of clay, fiber, glass, metal, wood, and other materials.
As the lead for this nonprofit, membership-centric organization, the Executive Director is accountable to the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees for the execution of the strategic plan and development and implementation of the programs, policies, and practices of the Council.
